As we continue to expand, we’re seeking an experienced Service Plumber to join our crew and help us deliver outstanding service to our residential and light commercial clients. ⸻ Job Summary We’re looking for an Experienced Service Plumber with strong diagnostic and repair skills in residential and light commercial systems — including steam and hydronic heating systems. The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of both traditional and high-efficiency heating equipment, along with working electrical knowledge as it relates to plumbing and heating controls. This is a great opportunity for a natural problem solver who enjoys variety and independence — no two days are the same. You’ll tackle a wide range of challenges, from classic steam systems in Boston brownstones to cutting-edge high-efficiency upgrades, all while delivering clean, reliable work that customers trust. ⸻ Key Responsibilities • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial plumbing and heating systems. • Service and maintain steam, hydronic, and high-efficiency heating systems. • Install and replace water heaters, boilers, pumps, fixtures, and piping systems. • Perform electrical diagnostics for pumps, relays, zone valves, and controls. • Accurately identify and resolve leaks, clogs, and system failures. • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers about work performed and recommendations. • Maintain detailed and accurate service records. • Uphold company standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and customer service. • Collaborate with team members and assist with HVAC-related service calls when needed. ⸻ Qualifications • Experience: Minimum 3 years of residential or light commercial plumbing and heating service experience. • Licensing: Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumber license required. • Knowledge: • Steam and hydronic heating systems (old and modern) • High-efficiency boilers and controls • Basic electrical systems for heating and plumbing • Skills: Strong diagnostic ability, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship. • Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces, and safely handle tools and equipment. ⸻ Compensation • $35 to $60 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. • Performance-based bonuses for quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
