Reaching For Independence, Inc. was founded in 2005, and provides support for adults with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals in a community based setting. Our dedicated staff assist people in finding employment, develop independent living skills, access community resources, and practice community safety skills. Direct Support Staff/Job Coach is an especially important role at RFI. The objective of this role is to support people while they work to achieve the goals that they have identified as important to them. The DSP/Job Coach helps identify community activities and resources that will assist in developing the skills that will advance the person towards their goals. Additional duties of the DSP/Job Coach will consist of transporting clients to job sites, community locations, behavioral support, and educational opportunities. Provide client supervision, instruction, activity support, and educational supports. Assist with tasks of daily living and encourage growth and discovery of the surrounding community. RFI is looking for self-starters who can manage their time effectively. This position requires drive, flexibility, and a sense of accountability due to the always changing day-to-day working environment. Applicants must be 21 or older, able to pass a background check, pre-employment physical, drug test(including marijuana), TB test, and have a clean driving record. Company vehicles available for use during work hours. COVID-19 vaccination NOT required. RFI provides and pays for all initial training and continued on-the-job training. RFI is looking for full time DSP/Job Coaches available Monday through Friday 8-5pm as well as some positions with flexible schedules based on the needs of the person being supported. Wage range: $17.50 to $19.68 - $2800 to $3150 per month, based on average 40 hour work week. Work 8hrs get paid for 9hrs. Position Overview: The Long Term Services and Supports Coordinator coordinates long-term services and supports (LTSS) for individual BCIL consumers (clients) enrolled in One Care, an innovative and nationally recognized health care program for people with disabilities.
