Role: Assistant Dog Trainer Timezone: Pacific Standard Time Working Hours: Full time, Open availability preferred: from Monday through Sunday at either morning shift (8:00 AM - 5:30 AM) or evening shift (2:00 PM to 9:00 PM) Compensation: Depending on experience Responsibilities: Assist Whitaker Dog Head Trainer in all aspects of the training department such as: Training Process Basic training (Sit, Stay, Come) Crate Training Loose Leash walking Exercise & Mental enrichment Threshold training Group Socialization Place Exercise Long Line work Pack Walk Aggressive behavior modification Safety protocols General dog care Waste cleanup Assist with Dog Daycare operations Monitor energy management of training dogs in daycare Assist with retrieving dog training photos and videos Assist with enrichment activities on the daycare facility such as: Dog walk/s Treadmill sessions Dog massages Administering treats Miscellaneous tasks for the training and daycare departments Requirements: Some knowledge of balanced training techniques Passion for dogs and training Ability to assist in handling various breeds and temperaments Strong communication skills Willingness to learn and grow in the field Experience with dog handling Residing in Los Angeles, California Able and willing to commute to Glendale, California Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record We look forward to receiving your application and learning more about how best fit the role as our Assistant Dog Trainer here at Whitaker Dog! :) Job Type: Full-time
