Classroom Teacher Assistant at a Small Montessori School (Rockville / North Potomac)

We are a small, well-established Montessori school serving children ages 2 - 9, and we are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized person to join our team this coming school year (September 2025). Position: Classroom Assistant Schedule Options: Part-Time: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Monday–Friday) Full-Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday–Friday) Responsibilities include: -Supervising children during classroom time and transitions -Supporting teachers and students during lessons and activities -Helping maintain classroom organization and materials -Assisting with cleaning and classroom upkeep -Occasionally lifting children (must be able to lift up to 40 lbs) Looking for someone who: -Is reliable and punctual, with consistent attendance -Has strong communication skills and a positive attitude -Works well as part of a team -Fluent in English -Able to pass a background check Be sure to include if you have (although not required): -Experience working with children -First Aid/CPR certification -MSDE/OCC 90-Hour Child Care Course or relevant college coursework that qualifies for OCC Senior Staff To Apply: Please email your resume and include any relevant experience, certifications, or coursework.
