The Building Operations Staff and Bus Driver supports the smooth functioning of the campuses of The Bear Creek School by providing a safe and nurturing environment in which students learn. This role supports the daily operations and events experienced by students, employees, and parents in the Bear Creek community. We are seeking an individual who will: • Work with the facilities team to maintain clean, functional, spaces that contribute to the fulfilment of the school’s mission and is a positive reflection on the school • Drive a bus or van for after-school sporting activities and other events as needed • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to ensure successful events • Set-up and break-down furniture and equipment needed for events • Perform painting, small repairs, and other maintenance projects as required • Carry out groundskeeping and weather-related maintenance as needed • Remain flexible in work duties and schedule • Maintain security policy and procedures • Active participant in on-campus safety drills • Primary responder for bodily fluid spills and other emergencies • Perform other related duties as assigned The successful individual in this position will: • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. • Take initiative. • Execute tasks independently when needed and work cooperatively with a team regularly. Required Experience and Education: • Preferred current commercial driving license (CDL) with student endorsement or willing to attend CDL school at employer’s expense to obtain licensure • CDL bus driver pre-hire drug testing and post-hire random testing required • Clean driving record required • Aptitude for working with tools or strong desire to learn • Ability to troubleshoot and do small repairs on tools and equipment • Demonstrate positive and friendly attitude • Hold CPR/AED/First Aid certification (with epinephrine autoinjector supplement) or obtain certification within 90 days of employment start date • Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer (sponsorship is not available for this position) It's more than a Job.
