Description

Hi! My name is Miguel and I'm a composer/pianist. Online Piano classes that cover all the essentials. With 12+ years of teaching experience and over 150 students over the years with great results. Piano material that is fun and engaging, relevant and motivational. Free 30-minute tryout class, no strings attached Music Composer Graduated in music composition Trinity College of Music Prices: *1 class of 30 minutes for $19, 2 classes per week needed. *1 class of 1 hr $35, once per Week All you need to get started is a piano/keyboard, and a Tablet or portable computer and you are all set! LESSONS TO BLOW YOUR MIND Objective #1 Proper Piano Position Playing efficiently is paramount. Correct posture at the piano is vital in eliminating tension areas that directly and indirectly affect the ability to play with accuracy, expression, and fluidity. Objective #2 Chords and Harmony Knowing chords, how tensions work, and how to place different positions, inversions, and voicings, this will give you a great background for accompanying other musicians Objective #3 Conservatory Graded Pieces One of the biggest problems I encountered over the years with students that are not making progress is that there is no proper assessment of what particular pieces they need to play. They work 6 months in a particular piece they love, which is above their level. Even when they play it, they spent too much time and energy and just obtained a beautiful piece to play, didn't polish or generate new skills. Objective #4 Reading Notes Reading music is essential for every musician, learn everything you need related with notation, bass, and treble clef. Objective #5 Music Theory Music Terms, Styles, and Music Analysis, go deeper than just a surface piano player. A deeper understanding of music generates more powerful playing Objective #6 Rock/blues/pop/ etc. songs Playing different styles, learning the student's taste and what he/she wants to accomplish with his piano playing. Objective #7 First Sight-Exercises Reading notes and playing your instrument at the same time, takes time, we start with very basic exercises that will develop reflexes that will accomplish this. The exercises evolve into classical music pieces Objective #8 Hearing Exercises Exercises to distinguish different chords, different scales, and elements that are going to improve your understanding of music. Conclusion Proven Method Many students have already tried this method and had very good results. They need to commit to 10-20 minutes of daily practice for beginners and 1 hour for intermediate and advanced students. Material and guidance considerably reduce the time needed for practice, don't practice harder, practice smarter.
