Experienced, Technical Drummer looking for a Project (santa rosa)

address1632 Woodward Dr, Santa Rosa, CA 95405, USA

Description

I can play pretty much anything from Infant Annihilator to Rush to hip hop, but I like to improvise writing. Not interested in cover bands. The main requirement, other than you all working with me as a person, is a group that isn't just obsessed with making music their career. I am looking for other hobbyists who put the music as the first priority when doing music and only then. I also do not like going super far for shows; an hour or two drive is probably my limit. If you want to do a world tour, maybe pick someone else. I also have a bit of high end equipment and a fully geared drumming recording studio and practice space in my garage. So, if anyone in the band can already use any recording DAW, we are set for records and everything else but shows. For my equipment: 8 piece base kit (poplar wood, mid range), mapex 14x8 in maple snare, two Ddrum octobans, full set of Remo roto toms, and more. Last time I checked it had 17 drums total. Much inspired by people like Mike Portnoy and the earlier technical players - the main difference being I am more of a straight metal player and can do fast blast beats. Cymbals mixed of Zildjian A and K, a Sabian AA crash, and the rest Paiste (Alpha mostly) with Wuhan china and a Wuhan/zildjan stack. Recording stuff: PC or Mac, high end interfaces and mixer, decent monitors, ATH m50Xs, basic drum mic kit, two triggers (kicks), couple of other condenser mics like the MXL 990/991 kit, and an SM58. With all that listed we could easily produce at 32-bit 96Khz with samples and triggers for drums pretty well. My PC has a 7900X3D AMD R9 and 64GB of DDR5 and you can use it to mix if you want. I am looking to play metal, heavy rock, or hip hop. I can play progressive metal and math rock too. Just looking for a fun group of people to hang out with and have fun, and I can really play.
