ShareA busy retina group is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join the billing department as an Insurance Accounts Receivable Representative. Primary responsibilities include: - Work denied and unpaid accounts receivable on a daily basis to secure payment; - Ability to investigate payer medical policies in order to find solutions to denials; - Knowledgeable in writing appeals to different payers; - Call insurance companies and utilize insurance portals/websites to obtain claim status; - Identify, problem-solve, and correct denied claims; - Identify denials trends and develop solutions to reduce denials and increase payments; - Follow internal protocol related to write-offs and adjustments policies; - Assist with additional billing office tasks if necessary. Qualifications include: - At least 2-year experience in medical insurance AR or medical billing is required; - Medical Coding experience is preferred; - NextGen and HST Pathways knowledge is highly preferred; - Waystar clearinghouse knowledge and experience is highly preferred; - Strong computer and communication skills are a must; - Strong attention to detail and concern for completing task correctly and efficiently; - Ability to prioritize responsibilities according to urgency and importance; - Maintains a professional positive attitude; - Full-time position; - Federal Way business office locations.
