I run a small, growing Christmas light installation business serving homeowners around Murrysville and the greater Pittsburgh area. We take pride in doing clean, professional installs that make people proud of their homes for the holidays. I’m looking for a reliable, hard-working helper who wants to make some good extra money this season while learning the trade. ⸻ What You’ll Be Doing • Helping install Christmas lights on residential homes (1–2 stories) • Clipping lights along gutters, rooflines, and walkways • Running extension cords and setting up timers • Helping with takedowns in January (optional, extra pay) • Working safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail ⸻ Who I’m Looking For • Reliable, on time, and respectful to customers • Comfortable on ladders and working on roofs • Can lift boxes, cords, and basic tools • Has transportation to job sites (usually around Murrysville / Delmont / Plum area) • No experience needed, but if you're handy and a quick learner that will help— I’ll train the right person

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor and/or Lead Maintenance Specialist in assigned Park District, this position is responsible for learning and performing the various skills that are associated with all aspects of park maintenance, including turf, irrigation, shrub and tree care, and facility maintenance with accepted maintenance practices for developed parks. May be required to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and be on snow watch as well as work shifts deviating from this position’s normal work days and/or with other work groups. Essential Duties: • Performs all cultural maintenance practices inherent to maintaining irrigated turf grass parks including mowing, aeration, fertilization, and irrigation. • Assists in maintenance of tree and shrub care, including plantings, removals, weed/pest control, pruning, and shrub bed maintenance. • Perform trash and recyclables removal operations. Clean and clear park grounds and facilities of litter and debris, operation of a trash/recyclables removal truck, common hand tools, installation and removal of waste receptacles and dog waste station maintenance. • Maintain public shelter facilities including roof repair, picnic table repair, trash receptacle repair, stocking of supplies, painting, staining, restroom cleaning, sanitizing, and grill maintenance. • Assist with the inspection of all parks’ irrigation systems and drinking and ornamental fountains as needed and assist with skilled maintenance including irrigation repairs to mainlines, valves, laterals, heads and pumps. • Assist staff with District sponsored events, making deliveries of materials and supplies necessary to meet the requests of facility rentals and work orders. Set up and disassembly of event tents, tables, picnic benches and chairs. • Assist with the documentation and routine inspection and repairs to play equipment within the district playgrounds. • Ensure proper care of assigned tools and equipment, perform maintenance on small equipment and notify appropriate personnel of need for tool, equipment or vehicle maintenance service or repairs. • Using District watering equipment provide supplemental watering to new plantings. • Complete daily activity reports and records as required.
