CAD / Drafting Engineer with Assistant Project Management Duties – Commercial Architectural Millwork Compensation: Competitive / Based on Experience Employment Type: Full-time Job Title: CAD Engineer / Drafter + APM Company: Key Woodworking – Custom Architectural Millwork & Casework Key Woodworking, a leading architectural millwork company, is seeking a CAD Engineer / Drafter with the ability and interest to support Assistant Project Management tasks. This is a hybrid role ideal for someone who enjoys both detailed drafting work and being involved in the overall coordination and execution of commercial woodworking projects. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare accurate shop drawings and submittals based on architectural plans and specifications Revise drawings per redlines and coordination changes Assist Project Managers with material tracking, RFI/submittal coordination, and schedule updates Collaborate with estimators, shop managers, and install teams Attend project coordination meetings as needed Support change order documentation and project communication Requirements: Proficient in AutoCAD; experience in Microvellum or Cabinet Vision a plus Ability to read and interpret architectural and millwork drawings Strong organizational and multitasking skills Basic understanding of commercial construction and project coordination Willingness to grow into more advanced PM responsibilities over time Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience: 2+ years in CAD drafting within millwork, architectural, or construction fields Experience with submittal packages and construction documentation Familiarity with CNC workflows or shop fabrication processes (a plus, not required) To Apply: Send your resume and a brief summary of your drafting and project experience.
