The Diesel Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues for 18 wheelers and box trucks. Duties-- Perform regular maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using diagnostics tools. Conduct brake repairs and ensure all safety standards are met. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and modifications. Operate forklifts to move heavy equipment as needed. Fully knowlodgeable in all 18 wheeler repairs, from bumper to bumper. Electrical experience preferred but not necessary. Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and safety protocols. Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to trucks maintenance and repairs. Skills-- Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on diesel engines for 18 wheelers. This is a general construction position working on a residential remodel project. I am looking for someone with a driver's license but I can work with you if you don't have a DL. Safety is a priority on this project because of this I have a zero tolerance for alcohol and drug use. That means I expect you to be on time and sober each day when you show up to work. I am looking for someone who has a working knowledge of the common tools and practices used in construction, however the ability and humility to recognize that you are over your head and the willingness to ask for help can actually make up for a lack of experience. I am willing to teach anyone who is eager to learn. This is not a fast paced gig. The homeowner wants the best finished product he can get so sometimes it is better to slow down and do good work. The pay is $100/day. That includes drinks and lunch each day. It's not negotiable but it's also not the typical job site.
