We are seeking the right person to work as a Direct Support Professional. Someone who is upbeat, kind, and is able to work closely with the family of the person they support. This person will have flexible hours and be able to work a Part-Time Sunday - Monday, 20-hour shift with the option to add 20 more flexible hours per week to be a Full-Time employee with benefits! Direct Support Professionals (DSP) support people who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes and communities. DSPs provide the supports people need to live self-directed lives, including caregiver supports like food prep, personal care, and following support plans. But it is much more than that, you will assist someone to go out and have fun, maintain their home, plan meals, cook, follow personal health routines, and achieve their dreams! Position Type: Part-time Sunday - Monday, 20 hour flex (this means you would work with your supervisor to build a schedule that works for you and the person you are supporting during these two days. • Optional: You have the option to take on 20 more flexible hours throughout the week, which can include days, evenings, and weekends. • 30 hours and above are considered full-time. Other shift options may be available. Qualifications: • Must have a valid driver's license. • Must be at least 18 years of age when starting employment. • Must have basic computer skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interpret various instructions. • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Certifications and Trainings: • Must pass required DHS background check and Protective Service Investigations. • Must be able to maintain all certifications as required by PCL, such as CPR, Oregon Intervention System (OIS), and Mandatory Abuse Reporting. • Attend all trainings and complete all paperwork during a 2 week in-person orientation at our Monmouth office.
