Cashier/Food Runner (Whittier)
Hello! My husband and I own a Mexican restaurant in Whittier, CA. We are a small business but we do get very busy in the winter/fall seasons and will need a FOH person who will work as a food runner, cashier, as well as packing to-go orders, table maintenance and bussing. This is a fast/casual type of restaurant meaning we don’t do full table service, we take people's food and drinks orders before they sit however we do still collect tips from tables and credit card transactions which we pool together and employees share at the end of each shift. We have 8 tables inside and 4 on our outside patio but weekends are usually very busy and we manage a lot of to-go orders as well. We do not require previous restaurant experience, we will train the right candidate for this position- we are looking for someone who learns and adapts to their work environment quickly, a reliable hardworking individual, and someone who is trustworthy and will treat our customers with kindness and respect. We prefer to have someone who is bilingual but that is not required. As a bonus to our employees we offer free meals for every 6 hour shift worked. This is a part time position making this a perfect place to work if you are young and need work experience or simply someone who needs another source of income. We do offer more hours to those committed to working for us and make themselves available. We are pretty flexible with schedules but currently need someone with some evening availability. If you are the right candidate and this sounds like a good fit for you, please respond to this ad or feel free to reach out via email at monicaromero562@gmail.com. Thanks!
