We're proud to be a part of this wonderful community made up of staff, volunteers, and diners. \r\n\n\r\n\nPosition Summary: \r\n\n\r\n\nMeal Coordinators report to the Operations Manager who, in turn, reports to the Executive Director. Meal Attendant work hours on-site will include:\r\n\n\r\n\nSundays, 9 AM - 5 PM\r\n\nMondays, 7:30 AM - 1 PM\r\n\nTuesdays, 4 - 7 PM\r\n\nWednesdays, 10 AM - 5 PM\r\n\nThursdays, off\r\n\nFridays, bi-monthly mandatory 1 hour meeting (can attend in person or virtually)\r\n\nSaturdays, off\r\n\n\r\n\nThis is a part-time, hourly position totaling 19.5 hours / week.\r\n\n\r\n\n\r\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\r\n\n\r\n\nMeal Attending - Kitchen Responsibilities\r\n\n\r\n\n- Arrives at shift prepared to plan a menu for the day using donated and available ingredients (Sundays & Mondays)\r\n\n- Leads prep and cooking for meals serving up to 250 people\r\n\n- Manages time effectively by having meals ready 15 minutes before open\r\n\n- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for all volunteers and diners. \r\n\n- Maintains Health Department standards (and ensures volunteers are as well)\r\n\n- Responsible for meal quality and quantity\r\n\n- Maintains refrigerator and freezer records\r\n\n\r\n\nMeal Attending - Floor/Reporting Responsibilities\r\n\n\r\n\n- Assists diners with finding various items we have in stock\r\n\n- Observes dining room and parking lot regularly for disruptions to safety\r\n\n- Calms uprisings, is prepared to call non-emergency or emergency line and know which is which\r\n\n- Keeps the property free from trash\r\n\n- Reports any misuse of the dining room or incidents requiring the involvement of law enforcement or other extraordinary measures via an incident report form\r\n\n- Communicates via email with FK staff about diners, leftovers, maintenance needed, and more.\r\n\n\r\n\nVolunteer Supervision\r\n\n\r\n\n- Orients new volunteers\r\n\n- Assigns tasks to volunteers, and ensures tasks are completed correctly\r\n\n- Provides a welcoming atmosphere for volunteers during prep times\r\n\n- Assists volunteers with cooking, prep, dishwashing, cleaning, and stocking\r\n\n- Informs Volunteer Coordinator of the need for additional volunteer support\r\n\n- Supervises and tracks hours of Community Service Workers\r\n\n\r\n\n\r\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:\r\n\n\r\n\n- Represents the Family Kitchen program and mission to the community in a professional manner\r\n\n- Demonstrates effective culinary skills in producing meals in bulk\r\n\n- Demonstrates innovation and creativity with meal planning by using donated ingredients\r\n\n- Demonstrates excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills\r\n\n- Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective communication with a wide and diverse range of people and organizations\r\n\n- Demonstrates ability to work with empathy and compassion toward others\r\n\n- Demonstrates proven leadership skills\r\n\n- Demonstrates ability to work independently and collaboratively and accept direction from the Operations Manager\r\n\n\r\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\r\n\n\r\n\n- Kitchen or restaurant experience\r\n\n- Basic computer skills \r\n\n- Possess or have access to reliable transportation\r\n\n- Possesses or has the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s license\r\n\n- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds\r\n\n\r\n\nOther Qualifications/Experience Considered:\r\n\n\r\n\n- History of volunteering (especially at Family Kitchen)\r\n\n- Lived experience of homelessness or food insecurity\r\n\n- Experience serving or working with under-resourced communities\r\n\n- Ability to work occasional on-call shifts in Sisters or Redmond\r\n\n\r\n\n\r\n\nCompensation:\r\n\n$16-$18 per hour depending on experience\r\n\nEmployees are welcome and encouraged to eat during shifts\r\n\n\r\n\nThis role is not eligible for health insurance or 401K benefits. Position Summary: Meal Coordinators report to the Operations Manager who, in turn, reports to the Executive Director. Meal Attendant work hours on-site will include: Sundays, 9 AM - 5 PM Mondays, 7:30 AM - 1 PM Tuesdays, 4 - 7 PM Wednesdays, 10 AM - 5 PM Thursdays, off Fridays, bi-monthly mandatory 1 hour meeting (can attend in person or virtually) Saturdays, off This is a part-time, hourly position totaling 19.5 hours / week. Duties and Responsibilities: Meal Attending - Kitchen Responsibilities - Arrives at shift prepared to plan a menu for the day using donated and available ingredients (Sundays & Mondays) - Leads prep and cooking for meals serving up to 250 people - Manages time effectively by having meals ready 15 minutes before open - Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for all volunteers and diners. - Maintains Health Department standards (and ensures volunteers are as well) - Responsible for meal quality and quantity - Maintains refrigerator and freezer records Meal Attending - Floor/Reporting Responsibilities - Assists diners with finding various items we have in stock - Observes dining room and parking lot regularly for disruptions to safety - Calms uprisings, is prepared to call non-emergency or emergency line and know which is which - Keeps the property free from trash - Reports any misuse of the dining room or incidents requiring the involvement of law enforcement or other extraordinary measures via an incident report form - Communicates via email with FK staff about diners, leftovers, maintenance needed, and more. Local Bus Drivers needed! $25.75 to 34.54 per hour dependent on experience for drivers with Class B or A license. $21.96/hour for drivers with a Class C license. Cascades East Transit is looking for qualified drivers to provide transit services throughout the Central Oregon community. Don’t have a CDL, but interested in obtaining one? We may be able to help; earn while you learn with our in-house Class B training program. Work schedules are generally Monday through Friday. However, weekend work may be required depending on the assigned schedule. Want more flexibility? Part-time positions are also available. Positions are based out of Redmond or Bend. Routes serve throughout Central Oregon. Benefits include health, dental and vision. One low monthly premium cover both you and your dependents. Earn vacation and sick time from day one. Other benefits available include employer paid retirement, life insurance and many more. Summary of Duties: Safely operate and transport passengers in a commercial motor vehicle. Safely and courteously assist passengers with mobility devices and assist with carry-on items. Collect appropriate passenger fare and record passenger trips on a mobile data terminal. Perform pre-trip and post-trip internal and external vehicle inspections according to CET procedures. Report vehicle defects or problems to supervisor. Report accidents or other traffic issues to Dispatchers. Keep the interior of the vehicle clean, wash the exterior of vehicles as assigned. Write daily reports in a logical and readable manner. Other duties that may be assigned Minimum Qualifications and Abilities: - CDL applicants must have and maintain a current Oregon CDL Class B, or equivalent driver's license at the time of employment. Must have and maintain a CDL passenger endorsement and air brake restriction lifted endorsements within 30 days of hire into the classification. CDL requirements are an essential qualification of the classification and failure to obtain or maintain CDL status may result in termination of employment. Non CDL applicants must have a valid Oregon driver’s license and access to a private vehicle or equivalent means of transportation. This classification is subject to DOT pre-employment and random drug testing. - High School diploma, GED or equivalent is required. Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a public passenger vehicle. - Represent COIC in a manner that will maintain and promote the positive reputation of the organization. - CDL Drivers must possess a CDL or have the ability to obtain a CDL including an ODOT Medical Card. - Ability to pass post-offer criminal background and driving background check, including driving history. No more than 2 moving violations in the last 12 months and no convictions of driving under the influence of any prohibited substance. - Must have a driving record which demonstrates adherence to safety in the operation of motor vehicles and adherence to traffic laws and regulations. - Must have no criminal conviction which may, in the sole judgment of COIC, constitute a threat to property or the safety of others. No history of class A felony offenses; time frame for Class B or C felony is 15 years; time frame for Class A, B or C misdemeanor is 10 years. - Must have the ability to pass and maintain a clean pre-employment drug screen including THC. Per DOT and FTA requirements, all driver positions are subject to random drug screening throughout employment.
