Researchers at The Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute (SKERI) in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco are seeking volunteers for participation in a brain imaging research study to learn more abut the underlying neural brain activity. Participants will undergo a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scan where you will be instructed to look at a series of flashing patterns at various durations lasting approximately 1 hour at UCSF Mission Bay's Sandler Neuroscience Building. We may also ask you to undergo an electroencephalogram (EEG) test at Smith-Kettlewell looking at similar patterns from the fMRI scan. You are eligible if you are: • Between 18 to 80 years old • In good general health • Normal or corrected to normal visual acuity • No metal implants, pacemakers, or tattoos Participants will be compensated at $30 an hour and travel or parking reimbursement up to $20. If you are interested in participating, please send an email. The Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute 2318 Fillmore Street (Between Clay and Washington) San Francisco, CA 94115
