SUMMARY: The hourly Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Susquenita School District is $17.00/hour. 5 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date). Employer paid clearances and TB screening! The Special Education Paraprofessional will work 182 days following the academic calendar year. Special Education Paraprofessionals may support students in one or more of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Learning, and Life Skills Supports. OPENINGS FOR '25-'26 SCHOOL YEAR: Susquenita Elementary School: Emotional Support Classroom, 8:30am - 3:30pm Autistic Support Classroom, 8:30am - 3:30pm Learning Support Classroom, 8:30am - 3:30pm Susquenita Middle School: Autistic Support Classroom, 7:30am - 2:30pm Learning Support Classroom, 7:30am - 2:30pm Susquenita High School: Learning Support Classroom, 7:30am - 2:30pm PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide assistance to students with special needs who have IEPs or 504 plans. Reinforcing learning concepts and skills. Working with students individually or in small groups. Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress. Managing students behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment. Supervising students during lunch, arrivals/dismissals, and other non-instructional areas. Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building Principal. Requirements EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma required - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB. Two years post secondary education, or higher, preferred. Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred.
