Description

Role Description: As a Sr. Systems Engineer, candidate will be working on the system design, build, test and manufacture of an advanced high-productivity e-beam lithography tool. As a member of the product development team, you will work with a wide mix of experienced engineers to determine the specifications of the equipment. Your responsibilities will include design, analysis, programming, debugging, testing, and modification of controls systems. The ideal candidate is communicative, flexible, and enjoys working in a fast-paced and creative technical environment. Requirements Main skills required: Looking for are servo loop tuning / PID control and either ACS Motion and/or Beckhoff / TwinCAT programming experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work with a team to determine system specifications. Work with internal teams of different disciplines throughout various stages of product design and review. Develop system controls applications for a variety of systems such as PLCs, motion control, temperature control, vacuum pumps, vacuum gauges, sensors, encoders, T/Cs, RTDs, imagers, and interferometers. Develop electrical and control system documentation, including System Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, BOM, Control Enclosure Layout, Power and Interlock Schematics. Equipment quality assurance and documentation during all phases of development and implementation. Work with external partners on various elements of system design. Qualifications 10+ years of proven experience in equipment design, automation, and integration from R&D to manufacturing. Experience in the design of capital equipment (semiconductor tool experience preferred). Strong understanding of tool systems and controls, including automation, vacuum, motion control, control panel and industrial interfaces (EtherCat, serial communications, Ethernet, etc.). PLC programming (IEC-61131-3 / Beckhoff TwinCAT preferred) and system troubleshooting. Motion controller tuning and programming (ACS preferred) for multi axis platforms. Understanding of SEMI (S2, S8, S14, S22 and F47), NFPA 79 and UL standards. Experience with supplier management and/or collaborating with remote engineering teams. Installation and support of equipment into production. Well organized and skilled in time management. Excellent communication skills and positive attitude required. EDUCATION and TRAINING BS or higher degree in mechatronics, electrical, software or other engineering fields. Job Summary: The Applications Engineer - Gas Engine Controls will be responsible for supporting/leading the development and execution of control systems for power generation driven by reciprocating gas engines. A main focus of the Applications Engineer is the retrofit and conversion of control systems to a broad range of programmable controls, with a focus on multipoint injection controls and associated gas valve equipment, as well as auxiliary control systems be they PLC’s, HMI’s, SCADA, AVR’s, protective relays, power management controls.
