Your responsibilities will include: Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.  Analyzes system requirements and participates or leads in design and development activities.  Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.  Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.  Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.  Develops technical documentation.  Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.  Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.  Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.  Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.  Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.  Requirements Twenty (20) years of experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity + Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university  Five (5) years of relevant SE experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s  5 years experience in the legal or technical aspects of Intelligence Community Privacy Compliance required.  2 yrs of experience with client systems architecture.  Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Job Summary: The Applications Engineer - Gas Engine Controls will be responsible for supporting/leading the development and execution of control systems for power generation driven by reciprocating gas engines. A main focus of the Applications Engineer is the retrofit and conversion of control systems to a broad range of programmable controls, with a focus on multipoint injection controls and associated gas valve equipment, as well as auxiliary control systems be they PLC’s, HMI’s, SCADA, AVR’s, protective relays, power management controls. The Applications Engineer will be expected to take a project from conception through design and testing to onsite commissioning and all the necessary documentation on the way. Will also be responsible for inspecting and testing electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repairs. Troubleshooting problems with electrical machinery, systems and components. Installing new or replacing electrical and electronic components of electrical/electronic equipment and systems. Designing, and testing of integrated systems for engine safety controls on board and land-based applications. Maintaining documentation of manuals, descriptions and electrical/electronic drawings. Reporting work scope, all activities, findings and conditions with documentation in accordance to manufacturer specifications and MSHS-ISO standards.
