Northstrat is seeking a junior developer with a willingness to learn and grow on an exciting new, greenfield development program! Your responsibilities will include implementing microservice solutions for complex problems based on well-defined Jira tickets. Your solutions will include clean, maintainable code with full automated test coverage. You will be responsible for adhering to our software development best practices and code quality standards.  From a day-to-day perspective, you will participate in our fully Agile development process including daily agile standups, iteration planning meetings, and retrospectives. Although project requirements may dictate schedules, a Northstrat employee is only required to work an average of 8 hours per weekday over the course of a month. For example: John worked 12 hours on June 1st to meet a project deadline. On June 15th, John only worked 4 hours because he left early for a long weekend. John’s IBA was not debited for time off because flex time allowed him to carry over those 4 hours from June 1st. Job Title: Public Works Project Estimator Position Summary: The Public Works Project Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for public sector construction projects, including civil, infrastructure, transportation, and utility improvements. This role involves detailed analysis of project documents, quantity takeoffs, pricing labor and materials, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to ensure the submission of timely and comprehensive bids that meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
