Job Title: Medical Assistant – Pediatrics | New York  Location: New York, New York  Job Type: Full Time Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM Compensation:  $40,000-$60,000 per year + benefits Are you a caring and organized Medical Assistant with a passion for working with children? We’re seeking dedicated Medical Assistants to join our pediatric team in New York, supporting a busy and compassionate pediatric practice. Play a vital role in ensuring young patients and their families receive the highest standard of care. Job Duties: Assist the pediatrician during exams and procedures. Take and record vital signs, patient histories, and symptoms. Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, child-friendly environment. Administer vaccines and perform basic laboratory tests as permitted. Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and follow-up appointments. Support families with health education and resources. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (required). Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA) preferred. Pediatric or clinical experience strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, child-friendly demeanor. Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Your Role and Responsibilities As an RBT at UNIFI, you will: Implement patient-specific programming as prescribed by the BCBA. Follow behavior intervention plans, including safety procedures. Collect data and complete necessary paperwork and billing. Administer patient medications when needed. Attend and participate in scheduled meetings and training. Mileage between therapy locations can be expensed. Staff will not provide transportation to patients.  Requirements At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Active RBT certification (UNIFI will help you obtain certification if needed). Satisfactory background check. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and active auto coverage. CPR certification (paid for by UNIFI). Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, run, stoop, and sit on the floor.
