Join a mission-driven engineering team building cutting-edge integration systems at the intersection of healthcare and technology. In this role, you’ll lead architectural design and development of robust data integrations between healthcare platforms and over 40 EMRs. Your work will directly support critical products that streamline clinical workflows, enhance care delivery, and reduce administrative burden. Accountabilities: Architect and develop scalable, reliable integrations with external healthcare systems including EMRs and clinical applications. Lead troubleshooting and performance tuning efforts, resolving data flow and system integration issues across platforms. Define integration strategy, evaluate tools, and lead implementation of modern technologies that ensure scalability and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, operations, QA, and DevOps to align on integration priorities and deployment strategies. Establish best practices for testing, monitoring, and maintaining integrations in a secure, cloud-native environment. Mentor and support junior engineers, foster technical growth, and uphold high engineering standards through code reviews and leadership. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR), maintaining the integrity and security of patient data. Stay current on healthcare integration trends, recommending enhancements and innovative approaches to future-proof infrastructure. Requirements 8+ years of experience in backend software development, with a focus on integration systems and data interoperability. Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript) and backend frameworks. Deep understanding of cloud platforms (GCP or AWS), containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and database systems (SQL/NoSQL). Proven experience with full lifecycle development, architecture design, and implementation of scalable backend solutions. Familiarity with healthcare data standards and protocols (HL7, FHIR) is a strong plus. Demonstrated success mentoring engineers and contributing to organizational growth. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field—or equivalent experience. Willingness to occasionally travel as needed for team collaboration.
