The Role We are seeking an experienced Head of Product to join our executive leadership team and lead our product organization through a critical scaling phase. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage a team of 3 Product Managers and 2 Designers while driving product strategy, roadmap execution, and team development. This role requires a proven scaling operator who can build predictable delivery processes while maintaining our innovation momentum in AI-powered government solutions. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with our CEO and core product team, you'll drive rapid collaboration and strategic alignment as we scale. You will be responsible for transforming our product organization from startup agility to enterprise-grade execution, ensuring we deliver consistently on customer commitments while positioning the company for significant growth. This is a strategic leadership role that combines hands-on product management with team building and cross-functional collaboration. What You'll Do Product Strategy & Vision Define and communicate product strategy and vision to internal teams and external stakeholders Own the product roadmap and ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs Balance current customer-focused priorities with strategic AI and innovation opportunities Present product initiatives and roadmap updates to board members and key stakeholders Team Leadership & Development Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 3 Product Managers and 2 UX/Design professionals Build scalable processes for product planning, requirements definition, and delivery tracking Develop junior and mid-level team members into senior contributors Establish clear accountability and performance standards across the product team Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with the Director of Engineering to ensure smooth product-engineering collaboration Work with Customer Success and Sales teams to prioritize customer needs and expansion opportunities Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and company-wide planning Facilitate effective stakeholder communication and expectation management Product Delivery Excellence Implement and maintain product development processes that ensure predictable delivery Oversee product lifecycle management from conception through launch and iteration Define and monitor key product KPIs and success metrics Drive continuous improvement in product quality, user experience, and customer satisfaction Customer & Market Engagement Engage with key enterprise customers to present new features and gather strategic feedback Initiate design partnerships with select customers for major product initiatives Support sales efforts by presenting product capabilities to prospective government clients Stay current on govtech market trends and competitive landscape Requirements Required Experience 5+ years of B2B product management experience with demonstrated career progression 3+ years of direct experience leading and developing product management teams (3-10 people) Proven track record scaling enterprise software products Experience with complex B2B sales cycles and enterprise customer management Industry Background Enterprise software experience, preferably in regulated industries Government technology (govtech) or public sector experience strongly preferred Familiarity with AI/ML product development and integration Leadership & Skills Strong technical background with ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive and customer-facing interactions Process-oriented mindset with experience building scalable product operations Demonstrated ability to develop talent and build high-performing teams Experience managing competing priorities and resource constraints effectively Personal Qualities Self-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving High emotional intelligence and collaborative working style Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Passion for using technology to solve complex government challenges Benefits Salary Range: $230,000-$250,000 commensurate with experience Equity: Significant stock options with high growth potential pre-Series B Flexible PTO 100% employer-funded medical, dental and vision insurance Fully remote with a $500 home office stipend 401K with Profit Sharing Plan Our Hiring Process We focus on assessing your experience scaling product teams, building processes, and driving enterprise product growth.
