Massage Therapist (scotts valley)

Kalani Day Spa in Scotts Valley, CA, awarded Business of the Year in 2021 and Best Day Spa in Santa Cruz County in 2023 and 2024, is seeking Massage Therapists to join our team. Qualifications: • Certified with California Massage Therapy Council (CMTC) • At least three years of experience preferred • Maintain appropriate certification and license • Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures Requirements: • Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends • Arrive prior to start of shift with enough time to prepare for the day • Be willing to learn new techniques • Maintain a professional appearance at all times • Be positive, friendly, upbeat and personable • Ensure clients feel welcome when they arrive for their appointments • Ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the spa • Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to discuss client needs and preferences • Maintain spa appearance and cleanliness (assisting with all linens in treatment rooms and housekeeping duties throughout spa) • Stock and maintain treatment rooms according to standard operating procedures • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures • Use the right equipment and ensure it is sanitary for each use • Recommend retail products for clients' at-home usage • Promote and up-sell products and services • Maintain and increase knowledge by attending in-house instruction, education/training classes, and workshops • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management, including checking clients in, checking clients out at the end of service, booking appointments, answering phones, attending staff meetings, trainings, promotions, etc. • Able to work in a fun, fast paced environment Benefits: • Discounts on retail products and services • Being part of a successful team • Employment growth and training sessions • Hourly wage, commission and bonus program • Sick leave and eligible holiday PTO
