Title: Computer Systems Architect Duties: 1. Lead the development of a new VR-based medical training product, ensuring it meets FDA and HIPAA regulations, and oversees its product lifecycle from concept to deployment. 2. Design, develop, and implement a medical cart with a custom computer enclosure for enhanced medical workflow, ensuring optimal thermal performance and airflow management through meticulous 3D modeling and fluid dynamics analysis, while adhering to NEC codes and electrical safety standards for all components. 3. Architect and implement a secure, scalable, and interoperable AR/VR/XR system for medical training, ensuring compliance with SOC2 Type II, HIPAA, and HITRUST regulations. 4. Develop and deploy a distributed, cloud-based application using GoLang, TypeScript, Python, and NoSQL/SQL databases to support real-time 8k video streaming for Immertec's platform. 5. Conduct thorough security audits and risk assessments for Immertec's systems and applications, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions based on industry standards and regulatory requirements. 6. Design and implement a robust user management system using RADIUS Servers, Azure Active Directory, and Single Sign-On solutions, ensuring secure access to sensitive applications and data. 7. Develop and implement a comprehensive system engineering plan for a new VR training simulation, outlining technical specifications, design principles, and implementation strategies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. 8. Research and evaluate emerging AR/VR/XR technologies for medical applications, documenting findings and presenting recommendations for potential implementations to stakeholders. 9. Design and develop a custom software application using JavaScript, TypeScript, and C++ to enhance the functionality of Immertec's VR platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. 10. Perform rigorous testing and simulations to verify the stability of a new AR/VR/XR system for medical training, ensuring consistent performance under varying conditions and identifying areas for improvement. 11. Design and develop a comprehensive security framework for Immertec's cloud infrastructure, including access control, data encryption, and intrusion detection systems. 12. Lead the drafting and submission of patent applications for innovative technologies developed by Immertec, coordinating with legal teams and patent offices to ensure timely processing and approval. 13. Prepare and manage grant proposals to secure funding for research and development projects, such as the NIH grant for VR training, ensuring compliance with all grant guidelines and requirements. 14. Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to explore new methodologies and technologies for Immertec's platforms, identifying potential areas for innovation and growth. Education: U.S. Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems with a major in Cybersecurity. Skill, Knowledge, and or Training: Graduate course work to include at least 4 credit hours of coursework in each of the following subjects: • Information Security Standards, Risk Management and Compliance • Information Security Principles • Network Security • Physical and Operational Security Hours: Number of hours per week: 40 hours per week Daily Work Schedule: Mon to Fri 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. Work Location: This position is fully remote; the offer is available in the United States of America.
