Job # ET23128 Job Title Field Service Technician Remote Office Location VA, UT, OH, NC, FL, or TX preferred Business Function/Department Energy & Infrastructure Solutions/Field Engineering Sales Territory, if applicable N/A General Role Description Provide Technical Advisory Services (TAS) for the commissioning and warranty support of solar PV inverters and associated electrical systems while meeting project schedules and performance criteria. The Lift and Vehicle Maintenance Technician ensures the safe and efficient operation of lift equipment and fleet vehicles at the Snow Bowl and Rikert Nordic Center by conducting thorough maintenance, adhering to industry standards, and providing ongoing training to staff. They play a critical role in maintaining guest and staff safety while promoting a positive experience.  This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $24.47 - $30.59 per hour. It is a year-round position. Core Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of maintenance on all lift equipment following ANSI B-77.1 codes, manufacturers requirements, federal and state requirements, and Insurance requirements, including reference to technical equipment manuals to ensure proper procedures are followed and proper settings are maintained.  Dismantle/test/replace/assemble equipment to examine and replace parts for defect or to identify and correct malfunctions.  Perform daily pre- operational tests and inspections of lift equipment including accurate daily checks of all machinery, engines, motors, coupling/uncoupling points and other critical areas. Notify Manager/General Manager of any condition or occurrence that may adversely affect the safe operation or experience of staff and/or guests.  Offer continual training and assistance of standard operational and safety practices to the lift attendants and operators on all lifts.  Perform fleet vehicle maintenance and repair including, but not limited to, trucks, snowcats, 4x4’s, and snowmobiles.  Complete and maintain all required maintenance logs and records.  Plan and develop with Manager lift inspections, equipment/vehicle replacement schedules, and any other major items impacting the budget.  Perform other related activities as necessary, including but not limited to, snow removal, construction projects, and trail mowing.  Requirements Welder certification and Journeyman Electrician’s license or equivalent preferred  5 years previous experience or equivalent in ski area maintenance  Prior lift maintenance (mechanical and electrical) experience  Must have or be able to obtain a valid US driver’s license  Must be willing to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, evening shifts, and occasional overtime  Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding outdoor environment, including exposure to cold temperatures, snow, and inclement weather conditions.  Must be able to stand, walk, and move around on uneven terrain for extended periods.  Must be able to work efficiently at heights  Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds  Other: An offer for this position is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and references. Composite Lead Tech (PIC)
To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned. The composites season is short: RCL values its composite techs and will utilize our desiring talent on non-composites jobs in the off season, if the employee would rather keep working.  We prefer not to bench our talent; however, off-season work is NOT required: if the employee enjoys a few months off in the winter, they can take advantage of the traditional down time in the industry. Compensation ranging from $35- $45 per hour. Requirements Travel 100% of the time, which may include composite part fabrication at our main shop. Prioritize a safe work environment. This includes leading a daily "Plan of the Day" (POD) meeting with the crew and clearly establishing an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) before starting work. Safety is the top priority at RCL. Work at heights for external repairs or in confined spaces for internal repairs. You must be able to execute repairs confidently in extreme heights and restricted spaces. Maintain trailer inventory and order consumables in a timely manner: The lead must stay ahead of material needs to successfully keep projects moving forward. Communication with site representatives and project managers about project status in a timely manner. Must be able to lead, motivate, and upskill reporting team members.
