Posting a room for rent, Sunnyland area. Would love to find a like-minded woman to join our collective đĄ Room Available in Peaceful, Family-Oriented Communal Home (Bellingham) -- $600/mo We're looking for a thoughtful and grounded human to join our shared home. The space is warm, lived-in, and family-friendlyâwith three adults, one easy-going 6-year-old, and a vibe that feels more âchosen familyâ than âroommates passing in the hall.â About the House: 3-bedroom, 2-bath, 3,000+ sqft home Average-sized shared kitchen, cozy living room, and backyard garden Lots of natural light, quiet pockets, and communal charm Shared meals and movie nights occasionally happen, but no pressure Two of us are in relationships = varying cameos around that re: being gone weekends. (House tends to be pretty quiet during the day and during evenings on non-kid weeks) About the Room: 11â6 x 8â6 Has a skylight and 2 small windows. Attic-style ceiling. Does not have a formal closet but will fit a clothing rack and dresser. (Ample storage space in garage or basement for items used less frequently) About Us: 3 Full-time Housemates, ages ranging 39-60 (and 2 chill cats). 1 Part-time (alternating weeks) housemate: Age 6. 2.5 of us have been here since August 2024, 1 since March 2025. We all typically work in healthcare/wellness/caregiving. All still new-ish to BHam, coming from the mid-west and large coastal cities. We value direct communication, mutual respect, and collaborative living Clean but not neurotic, intentional but not rigid. Moving towards being a house that is free from synthetic fragrances (Donât worry, the house doesnât smell like cats & armpitsâ natural fragrances are okay!) Weâre Looking For: Another female to add to our built foundation of overall consideration and shared safety. Non-smoker. No hard drugs or heavy drinking at home. No other pets to avoid territorial behavior issues (sorry!) Not a party house or crashpad re: overnight guests or couch-surfing situations Administrative Bits: Move-in ASAP for the right fit. Lease ends mid-August 2026 Rent is $600/mo (pro-rated dep on move-in date), PM admin fee to be added to lease is $350, Deposit is $900. Property Management (PM) application process includes: Background check, Income Verification, Rental References. PM reqâs income ~ to 3x 25% of total rent (about $3600) w 3 months of pay stubs but has been flexible to include recent tax return if someone is more gig work oriented. Rent does not incl utilities, which average about $200/mo (higher winter/lower summer)) You Might Be a Great Fit If: You're responsible, kind, and comfortable around children Youâre into shared living and not just splitting bills You understand how to clean up after yourself and communicate when something is off You want your home to feel like a soft place to land, not just four walls Considerations: What do you value in a shared home? Whatâs your comfort level with the house having more of a family-oriented vibe vs. purely adult social energy? How do you prefer to communicate when something is bothering youâ text, group chat, or in person? Whatâs your approach to resolving tension or misalignment in shared living? If this sounds like your kind of vibe, reach out and tell us a little about yourselfâwhat youâre into, how you spend your days, and what youâre looking for in a home. Weâre more interested in who you are than your resume. Looking forward to meeting you âš
