Greetings. đ Please read entire ad before responding. :-) Since COVID, we have been doing much of the roommate interviewing via e-mail, phone, and Zoom before inviting people over to the house. This has been working rather well, so we are going to stick with this process. In order to help us determine if you would be a good fit in our communal living situation, we would really like to learn as much about you from your e-mail as possible. This helps us try to figure out how everyone will get along with the other personalities in the house. Lengthy, detailed bios, in addition to links to social media accounts, professional accounts such as LinkedIn, and resumes are all super helpful. Of course, PLEASE DO NOT send us any of your special life numbers, SS, CC, etc. You should be very protective of those. We do not want any of those. We just get so many scam/spam/garbage e-mails that we could really use your help in determining that you are a for-reals human AND ALSO if you might get along well with the other roommates. If you do not include these things, we will likely not respond. Please also let us know what you are looking for in a living situation. If it looks to be a good fit in both directions, we can follow-up with a telephone or Skype call to chat about the roomies, house dynamics, etc. If that goes well, we can meet up for coffee and discuss setting up a time for you to come look at the house. 6 month lease. Month to month after that. Unfurnished room available for rent in a very large (3700+ sq ft), 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, furnished Hillsboro home. Rather large walk in closet and windows overlooking the back yard and greenspace. I am not sure of the exact dimensionsâŠI had them written down around here somewhere. This room shares 1.5 bathrooms with 1 other room. The last 4 photos in the set are of the actual room. I am currently painting the room to a more neutral color. Very quiet neighborhood, surrounded by green space. Very close to Noble Woods Park so easy access to trails. Sits on ~ 1/2 acre so we have a few outdoor areas as well. Fire pit, hammock, etc... Deck and patio, hardwood floors. Multiple living areas on 2 floors for added privacy among roommates. Pool table room, lounge, home theater room. Share home with mostly working professionals, Intel and tech folks, 20's-40's, COED, multi-cultural. It is a very stable home. We have been doing the roommate thing for 10+ years now at this house. Of course, a background and credit check will be required. Axe murderers need not apply. Close to Intel. Not too far from Nike and Pacific University. #47 bus comes right by on Baseline. House is about a 30 minute walk to either the Orenco or Hawthorn Farm Max stations. A little further and you can also catch the 46 and 48 bus line. Nice little shopping area up at Orenco. La Provence, New Seasons, and a handful of other restaurants and cafes in the area. Walk to farmer's market in the summer. No pets. No cigarette smoking (or vaping). Rent = $750/mo plus split of utilities, internet, yardwork, etc. Move in = first, last, + $750 refundable security deposit = $2250 Single occupancy only. No pets. I have seen bills range between $150-$200+ per person per month. Average is ~$175. We split the utilities evenly among however many people live in the house. If you were to move in, you would be roomie #3. As it is a very, very large house, there are multiple separate common areas, only 3 people living in a 5 bedroom house, and many people are out being active on the weekends, it never feels crowded. Rant: I feel rude saying this but after wasting many hours screwing around with scammers, spammers, and flakes, I feel like I should insert this as a preemptive filter. Please do not send an e-mail only asking if the room is still available. If you see the ad here, then the room is still available. Please do not send me a vague e-mail asking me to only respond to your personal e-mail address. If you send me these types of e-mails, we will not respond and will assume that you are: 1. A scammer, spammer or a flake. 2. You don't care enough about where you would be living to read this entire ad. 3. You are not personable enough to engage with other humans in a manner that resembles a conversation and thus might not fit well within a communal living situation. Rant done.
