Hey there! We’re looking for a new roommate to move into our spacious and friendly 7-bedroom group house. It’s a great spot with 4 bathrooms, 3 refrigerators, a big dining room, cozy living room, porches, a small rear patio, and tons of storage space. We also have free (not coin-op) laundry in the basement and indoor bike storage on the first floor. The available room is the smallest (and most affordable!) in the house. It’s on the second floor, sharing a bathroom with four others. It’s unfurnished, has a small closet plus a hanging rod/shelf, and even has access to a shared balcony. The house has central A/C, steam radiant heat, and never-ending hot water. Our maintenance team is responsive, and utilities are split 7 ways. Street parking is non-zoned, so no permit is needed! Location-wise, it’s amazing—a short walk to the Zoo, Adams Morgan, Columbia Heights (Green Line), and two Red Line metro stations. There are plenty of bus options (H2, H4), plus tons of grocery stores, restaurants, and bars (Raven, Marx, Haydee’s, etc.) nearby. We’re a diverse, LGBTQIA-friendly household of six who are laid-back, considerate, and keep shared spaces clean. We’re looking for someone friendly, respectful, and easygoing to join us. We’re looking for someone to move in as soon as possible, but we can be flexible on the exact date and can pro-rate if needed. The lease setup is pretty informal—we’ll have you submit a leasing application that includes a one-time fee to the property manager (Fred A. Smith Company), but it’s straightforward after that.
