Ideal Roommate: Has shifts, practice, or some other form of commitment out of the house between 5-10pm or so, and who can be quiet and avoid cooking once they're asleep at night. We typically try to be out of the house during much of the day, but some days he isn't into it, and we also sometimes come home to nap. Location: Transit Happy! Very close to Excelsior Library. We have buses coming every 1-5 minutes just outside our door; it's fairly easy to get around town or just about anywhere else within the city. It's also a short 10 minute ride or 12-15 minute walk to BART. If driving, there's street parking typically available within a block. Plenty of solid markets for fresh produce and all else within a block or two, along with a bigger Safeway about 10 minutes away. Laundry-wise, we mostly have 'delicate' clothing and have a spinner and dryer, but there's a laundromat literally across the street. We’ve considered adding a portable washer and dishwasher, but would first have to add a compatible faucet—something we’d love, but haven’t yet done. Neighborhood is more on the quiet, small town with dense city transit vibe. Apartment: 2-3BD apartment with a split bathroom (no waiting as someone else showers!). We keep it fairly warm, both with wool rugs and a gas heater. There’s a small yard with dining table and hammocks. We also have plenty of training equipment you’re welcome to use (squat rack, barbells, plates, gymnastics rings). Room: This room is the warmest room in the apartment, as it’s right outside the heater. It’s also relatively quiet, especially from our family bedroom. With a filter or white noise machine on, we’ve taken interviews, worked remotely, and slept through our child’s uninhibited shrieks. Comes furnished with an amazing Tempurpedic king sized mattress with an adjustable, remote-controlled frame we’ll miss. Price: $1025/month, all utilities included Ideal lease length: short-term, 2-3 months, but will consider longer. We may be moving out ourselves this year. Available now (September 1), but flexible. If interested, please share some more about yourself, a bit about your schedule and when you’d be home, what you look for in roommates, when you'd be interested in subletting in terms of frequency and dates, and more generally why you're looking. Place is available now. Happy to talk and share more about ourselves during a call!
