Job Title: Independent Delivery Driver (Cargo Van) Location: Santa Fe Springs Job Type: 1099 Contract (Self-Employed) Schedule: Monday to Friday and every other Saturday, Starting at 7:00 AM (End time varies based on route completion) Job Description: We are seeking dependable, independent delivery drivers with their High Roof Cargo Van to join our team! As a 1099 contractor, you will start your day in Santa Fe Springs (90670) at 7:00 AM, and finish your route once all deliveries and pick ups are completed. Your routes will include delivering packages to businesses and residences in the local area, with some routes potentially including pickup points for additional deliveries. Key Responsibilities: -Pick up and deliver packages to businesses and residences in the 562 area and surrounding neighborhoods. -Ensure timely and safe delivery of all packages. -Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and customers. -Handle all packages with care and deliver them in excellent condition. -Follow traffic laws and safety protocols at all times. -Keep your vehicle clean and in good working condition. Qualifications: -Must own a high roof cargo van in good working condition. -Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. -Ability to lift and carry packages (up to 75 lbs). -Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented. -Self-motivated and reliable with the ability to work independently. -Workers' compensation insurance is required. (As an independent contractor, you are responsible for providing your own workers' compensation coverage to ensure your safety while on the job.) Compensation: -Pay is per stop depending on City awarded -Weekly payments. -Workers' compensation coverage required for all contractors.
