IPConfigure is seeking a talented WA Intern to join our team and assist in the development of our Video Management System.  NOTE: This is an on-site internship at our Norfolk, VA headquarters. Key responsibilities: Develop and execute test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. Conduct thorough regression testing when across various platforms, including Linux environments. Monitor debugging process results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements, and communicate test results effectively. Configure and maintain Linux-based testing environments, including virtual machines and containerized environments. Document test procedures, test results, and other relevant information to support quality assurance efforts. Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance. Requirements Requirements: Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies, including manual testing techniques and test case design. Ability to execute test cases, report defects, and assist in regression testing activities under the guidance of senior team members. Eagerness to learn and apply testing best practices, including test planning, test execution, and defect management. Basic understanding of Linux operating system fundamentals. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality software products. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies quickly and effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in software testing and quality assurance roles or Internship or academic projects related to software testing, quality assurance, or software development. Familiarity with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Jenkins). Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows Exposure to agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and agile testing practices. Basic proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript), with the ability to write simple scripts or programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Operate CNC Lathe machines. 2. Perform assigned maintenance. 3. Preform other production tasks as needed. 4. Adhere to production schedules. 5. Keep manufacturing area clean and well organized. 6. Work overtime or on different shifts as requested to meet production demands. 7. Complete daily and weekly performance board and quality/productivity reports as needed. 8. Follow safety, quality, operating and other procedures. 9. Work with manufacturing lead, follow material point of use process and ensure there is material and tools available at all times. Qualifications: High School Diploma, equivalent, or passing company’s basic English/Math/Blue Print Reading Test; 2 year college or technical degree preferred. 1. Proficient in reading blue prints. 2. Proficient in using basic measuring tools (rulers, calipers, micrometers, etc.). 3. Proven working experience in operating CNC equipment in a production environment. 4. Basic English reading/writing and math skills to fulfill job requirements. 5. Ability to work with computers. 6. The assigned evenings to work are flexible; most of our Night Managers work Sunday - Thursday evenings. The assigned work hours are flexible, somewhere between 5:00 pm – 2:00 am. Many of our Night Managers work 8:00 pm - 1:00 am.
