Description: The Composites Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying composite parts, materials, and assemblies to ensure they meet quality and engineering standards. This role involves detailed visual and dimensional inspections, the use of precision measurement tools, and accurate documentation of findings. The inspector works closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify non-conformances and support continuous improvement initiatives. Salary Range: $25 - $32 Duties and Responsibilities: Perform in-process and final inspections of composite parts, subassemblies, and finished products. Inspect for defects such as delamination, fiber misalignment, voids, surface irregularities, and bonding issues. Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, laser trackers) to verify part dimensions and tolerances. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including GD&T requirements. Verify compliance with manufacturing process specifications, work instructions, and quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Document inspection results and non-conformances using appropriate forms, databases, or quality systems (e.g., NCRs, inspection reports). Perform destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) such as visual, ultrasonic (UT), or tap testing when qualified. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to resolve quality issues and recommend corrective actions. Support first article inspections (FAI), production part approvals (PPAP), and internal/external audits. Requirements Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably with composite materials. Knowledge of composite fabrication methods (e.g., hand lay-up, RTM, autoclave, resin infusion) is a strong advantage. Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9102, NADCAP, ISO). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Experience with inspection tools, documentation, and ERP or QMS systems. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Skills Preferred Work may involve standing for extended periods, working in cleanrooms or production environments. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. May require flexible hours, including shift work or occasional overtime. Position Responsibilities • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct routing maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues or malfunctions. • Quality Control: Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Collaborate with quality department personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards and report any non-conforming materials. Follow proper procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous materials if possible. • Material Handling: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders or shipping documents. Safely transport materials to designated area using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks. Organize and store materials in designated locations for easy retrieval and inventory control. • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately complete all required documentation, such as receiving reports, materials movement logs, and inventory records. Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other related metrics as requested. Communicate inventory discrepancies, shortages, or delays to the appropriate stakeholders. • Order Fulfillment: Retrieve requested materials from inventory based on work orders or requisitions. Prepare materials for distribution or shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling. Coordinate with other departments to fulfill material request in a timely manner and maintain accurate documentation. • SAP knowledge such as inventory management, TO’s, pulls for production and troubleshooting. • Can perform receiving transactions, shipping transactions, consumptions, and reversals. • Ability to utilize Raymond racking system. • SAP knowledge to reprint handling units. • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies. Monitor stock levels, identify low inventory situations, and initiate replenishment processes as necessary. Utilize inventory management systems or software to track materials and ensure adequate supply availability. • Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of all designated areas within the facility, including floors and common areas. • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that materials and equipment are properly stored, and waste is disposed • Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements • 3-5 years of experience as a Materials Handler or similar role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. • Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts stand up, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, with appropriate certifications if required. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory records and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to materials handling. • Compliance with health and hygiene standards, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment. Role Description We are seeking a Product Quality Engineer with strong experience in software and medical device quality systems to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that our SaMD products meet regulatory, quality, and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle—from development through post-market surveillance. Responsibilities Partner with Engineering, R&D, Regulatory, and Clinical teams to ensure compliance with ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, and other applicable standards. Support design and development activities by developing and reviewing documentation, ensuring design control compliance, and participating in design reviews. Perform risk management activities per ISO 14971, including creation and maintenance of risk analyses. Collaborate with development teams on cybersecurity requirements, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and post-market monitoring in accordance with FDA, ISO/IEC 27001, and other international standards to ensure product security. Define and implement non-product software validation strategies in alignment with FDA’s CSA guidance, 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP 5 principles. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the QMS, with a focus on software-specific quality processes. Investigate and resolve product quality issues, nonconformances, and CAPAs using root cause analysis techniques. Lead or support internal and external audits (e.g., FDA, Notified Bodies, ISO registrars). Participate in supplier qualification and software supplier evaluation processes. Monitor post-market product performance and contribute to complaint handling and field actions when needed. Drive quality metrics reporting and trend analysis to support management reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
