Key Responsibilities Pre-production - Research and identify potential shoot locations (factories, makerspaces, rural projects, etc.) - Negotiate access, filming permissions, and fees with factories and vendors - Coordinate with sponsors to arrange timely product deliveries and ensure all necessary materials are available for shoots - Arrange travel and accommodations for domestic and international shoots - Hire and coordinate freelance staff (camera operators, fixers, translators, drivers, editors) - Plan shoot schedules, shot lists, and production logistics Production - Serve as the on-location producer, managing the shoot schedule and flow - Act as the liaison between our team and local contacts - Assist with camera/drone operation when needed - Keep detailed shot notes for communication with editors - Anticipate and solve problems on the ground before they disrupt the shoot Post-production - Offload, back up, and deliver footage to editors - Provide editors with shot notes and maintain continuity of the artistic vision - Oversee the editing and finishing process, ensuring continuity of artistic vision between the host, camera operator, editors, and thumbnail artists. - Ensure all content meets the high standards and overall style of Strange Parts, Stranger Parts, and Electric Ranch.
