This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring high-quality software for critical government applications. The Manual QA Tester will collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive test plans, identify defects, and help improve software performance. The role focuses on enhancing functionality, reliability, and user experience through thorough manual testing. Candidates will gain valuable experience in software testing methodologies, and may also have the opportunity to develop skills in automation and software development. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, methodical, and passionate about delivering high-quality software. Accountabilities Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on user stories, requirements, and specifications. Execute manual testing procedures to evaluate software functionality, performance, and user experience. Identify, document, and communicate defects to developers and follow up on resolution progress. Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to improve software quality and performance. Apply QA processes, test methodologies, and software release standards to ensure thorough testing coverage. Perform web application testing and, if applicable, mobile application testing. Maintain knowledge of accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG, and test accordingly. Support opportunities to gain experience in automation testing tools and software development practices. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in software testing, QA processes, or related roles. Knowledge of operating systems, networking, and software release procedures. Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA). Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts. Ability to write and execute test plans and test cases using appropriate methodologies. Familiarity with web application testing; mobile testing experience is a plus. Knowledge of Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards and assistive technologies such as JAWS. Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance. Preferred Experience: Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities. Ability to work in a fully remote environment and collaborate with distributed teams. Symmetrio is seeking multiple Senior Network Engineers to support a major enterprise network transformation initiative for our customer, a large government organization. This role centers on the implementation of Juniper MX960 routers and the transition from MC-LAG to EVPN/VXLAN fabrics. This role will involve leading high-impact cutovers and migrations in a production environment, contributing to both hands-on implementation and network architecture design across a multi-overlay fabric. This is a hybrid position based out of Philadelphia, salary is in the 110-150k range. This is a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of enterprise-scale Juniper router migrations (MX960 platform). Design and validate EVPN/VXLAN architectures with multiple overlays to ensure scalability, performance, and redundancy. Collaborate closely with the customer’s Network Engineering team to achieve seamless integration with minimal disruption during migrations. Configure, test, and deploy Junos OS across MX and EX platforms in production environments. Provide expert-level guidance on the migration from MC-LAG to EVPN, including design validation, testing, and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for network designs, cutover strategies, and post-migration processes. Serve as a subject matter expert for Juniper routing, EVPN/VXLAN fabrics, and advanced routing protocols. Support after-hours cutovers and provide escalation assistance during critical events. Requirements 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise or large data center environments. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Juniper MX and EX platforms. Strong knowledge of core routing protocols, particularly BGP and OSPF. Proficiency with Junos OS configuration and troubleshooting in production environments. Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale router replacement or network migration projects. Familiarity with EVPN design, deployment, and operations.
