Production Control Technician/Forklift (Night Shift) HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 32 facilities in eight countries. Currently, we are seeking a Production Control Technician to become a part of the HIROTEC team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform data entry and utilize scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory in the ERP system (SAP). Compiles and maintains records such as material inventory and status and location of materials. Review production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors or management to determine material requirements for daily production. Count, weigh, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments. Receive incoming material and verify material received is accurate and undamaged. Ensures proper placement of goods for effective FIFO and inventory rotation. Accurately package finished goods for delivery (i.e. banding, strapping, shrink wrapping, labeling, etc.) and stage and load trucks ensuring proper placement to prevent shifting or damage during transport. Examines material to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications. Requisition material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability. Verify all incoming hazardous chemicals are labeled correctly and non-conforming chemicals are handled per our Hazardous Communication procedure. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area. Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and two years’ experience in warehouse/inventory and previous experience operating powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment in automotive/manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. SAP or other ERP experience is preferred.
