Production Control Technician/Forklift (Night Shift) HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform data entry and utilize scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory in the ERP system (SAP). Compiles and maintains records such as material inventory and status and location of materials. Review production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors or management to determine material requirements for daily production. Count, weigh, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments. Receive incoming material and verify material received is accurate and undamaged. Ensures proper placement of goods for effective FIFO and inventory rotation. Accurately package finished goods for delivery (i.e. banding, strapping, shrink wrapping, labeling, etc.) and stage and load trucks ensuring proper placement to prevent shifting or damage during transport. Examines material to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications. Requisition material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability. Verify all incoming hazardous chemicals are labeled correctly and non-conforming chemicals are handled per our Hazardous Communication procedure. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area. Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and two years’ experience in warehouse/inventory and previous experience operating powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment in automotive/manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. SAP or other ERP experience is preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, while following all safety procedures, production processes, and company policies. Assembly of components and sub-components, which includes manual or automated operation of machinery or tools. Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections. Complete required production documentation, manually or by data entry, accurately and timely. Visually inspect and test finished parts to ensure they have been correctly assembled according to quality specifications. Meet productivity requirements/quotas and produce quality parts ensuring products meet customer and internal standards and specifications. Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing. Work under the guidance of supervisor and assembly lead to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner. Perform changeovers and general set ups (torch adjustments, mandrel balls, wiper dies, changeover fixtures, etc.). Monitor equipment for proper functionality/verify poke yokes are working correctly. Report poke yokes not working correctly/bypass and unsafe/defected operations to Supervisor immediately. Provide assistance and training to other operators in their assigned responsibilities. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area. Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company. Candidate does not need JIT experience but must have 2-3 years experience in Automotive Manufacturing. Experienced in professional development for staff/workers, ability to set individual goals using KPIs and 5 ''S'' methodology. Experience and trained in interpersonal conflict resolution experience. Strong ability using ADP/Kronos and Microsoft Office Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise production team members performing production operations and must have thorough knowledge regarding the team member handbook, safety manual, all rules, programs and procedures that pertain to production team members. Responsible for orientation and on the job training of team members in the safe, efficient operation of equipment. Instills good housekeeping of their immediate work area in all employees so that visitors may be received in the plant at any time. Evaluate team members based on attendance, performance, attitude, potential, etc. Responsible for maintaining manpower within the assigned department at authorized levels. Re-assigns team members on ‘down equipment’ to eliminate unfavorable labor variances. Observes production operation within their area of control to ascertain compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, production standards, and efficient operation of equipment: takes corrective action to eliminate any deviation. Continuously analyzes the assigned area of responsibility for improved methods of production, tool design communication and reporting, cost controls and makes recommendations to plant superintendent for disposition. In case of emergency, direct team member to their assigned safe area. Process all required forms in a timely manner for payroll and Human Resources (i.e. employee status form, timecards, PTO sheets, EIRP reward, etc.). Contact Engineering and Maintenance for required repair work. With the Plant Manager and Operation Manager, study operation where cost standards are not being met to determine causes and apply corrective action. Assist assigned team members in understanding the need for teamwork to attain departmental and objectives. Support and carry out corporate philosophy and vision. Attend safety and quality meetings when needed. Actively participate in Health/Safety/Environmental investigations and the 8D process in order to develop root cause analysis for problem resolution. Ensure required Safety Audits are complete for you and your team. Reporting accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and inform supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely effect other team members, assets or to the public.
