Bon Secours Wellness Arena is looking for enthusiastic and skilled part-time Sound Operators for live events. The Sound Operator will be responsible for managing and operating sound equipment to ensure high-quality audio experiences during various events. Responsibilities Set up and operate sound equipment for live events, including microphones, PA systems Collaborate with the Technical Director and event organizers to understand sound requirements and objectives Monitors audio levels throughout event to ensure optimal sound quality Perform sound checks and calibrate audio equipment prior to events Troubleshoot and resolve any audio issues that arise during events Tie-in event FOH or DJ to our audio console and monitor levels throughout the events. Tweak mic EQs, build monitor mixes, and ring out speakers to optimize audio quality and prevent feedback. Maintain and manage sound equipment, including regular inspections and repairs Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in live sound operation. Proficiency in using audio mixing and editing equipment Strong understanding of sound technology, including microphones, amplifiers, and recording equipment Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experienced with Dante networking, Shure Wireless Workbench, and Clearcom systems including HelixNet and FreeSpeak. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Identify potential project risks, develop contingency plans, and creatively problem-solve under pressure. Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage complex project budgets, ranging anywhere from $100K to multi-million dollars. Track costs, manage forecasts, negotiate contracts, and reconcile budgets upon project completion. Build out budget models and staffing plans during the pitching and RFP phases of new business development. Team and Vendor Management: Lead, mentor, and delegate tasks to junior production staff, including producers, associate producers, and coordinators. Source, vet, and manage relationships with a nationwide network of vendors, fabricators, and technical specialists. Negotiate contracts with venues, vendors, and talent to maximize value for clients. Client Relations in Collaboration with Account Team: Serve as the primary production point of contact for key clients, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication. Lead client presentations and status meetings with confidence and professionalism. Build and maintain strong client relationships alongside the account team, assisting in anticipating their needs and identifying opportunities for additional growth. On-Site Execution: Lead all on-site production, including setup, technical rehearsals, show flow, and real-time troubleshooting. Ensure all production activities adhere to safety, feasibility, and compliance standards. Coordinate logistics for on-site services, including staffing, guest experience, and vendor management.  REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE Demonstrated experience managing seven-figure budgets. Willingness and ability to travel frequently for on-site event execution.  Advanced project management skills, including expertise in creating detailed workback schedules, production timelines, and comprehensive budgets.
