Dear Craigslist, A small room is available in our 3-bedroom Williamsburg apartment as of Sept 15th. The room can fit a full-size bed. We are looking for a relaxed and mature individual who is looking to be part of our home longer-term (ideally at least 6 months). The apartment is located on the bustling Grand Street—about 5 minutes from the Lorimer L/Metropolitan G subway and a 10-minute equidistant walk from the Hewes or Marcy JMZ. You would also be a two-minute walk away from a CITI Bike station. The apartment is located near many coffee shops, bars, gyms, and restaurants. You would also have access to various grocery stores and laundry services. The apartment is furnished. You would live with two other young professionals—Nol and Alyssa—in their early 30s. Nol: Has lived in New York for ten years. He moved here from Portland, OR, but grew up in the Bay Area. He currently works selling luxury timepieces. He is a vegan who loves to cook at home. His favorite musician is Bonobo, his favorite movies are The Bourne series, and his favorite book is The Art of Being. Other interests include luxury brand strategy, urban planning, and downtempo music. Alyssa: Alyssa is a freelance creative producer and growth marketer, juggling part-time remote and on-set work. She is currently listening to “You Make No Sense” by ESG and is reading The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin. We are looking for an individual (no couples) who is mature, clean, and respectful of our work schedules. We have friends over and cook dinner. However, our apartment is by no means a party house, and we all have jobs to get to in the morning. We welcome people of all walks of life and are, of course, LGBTQ friendly. There is no smoking and no pets in the apartment. The monthly rent is $1399 plus utilities (internet, gas, electric, cleaning person). A deposit will be due with the first month’s rent.
