Your day-to-day would involve: Operating multi-axis CNC machine tools. Inspection of completed operations using CMM's, optical vision systems, and manual gauges & tooling. Changing consumables such as electrodes and tooling. Complete daily preventive maintenance checks. Assist in the development of new product introduction programs. New facility in Kent needs with help sorting clothes, ironing and folding. Shift starts at 8am and ends about 3pm or when work is done. only part time right now. Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday. SUMMARY: Receives raw materials from railroad cars and delivers material in proper mixtures to hoppers in the storage area. Regrinds faulty product for re-use as raw materials. Ensures proper mixture of new and reground material. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: • Achieves daily quota for production. • Cleans surfaces and machines located in the Raw Materials Department. • Transfers raw materials from transportation containers through mechanical receiving systems to hoppers, blenders or tumblers. Mixes, by formula, additional raw materials including pigments, reground material and chemical agents to achieve and transfer appropriate blended material for use in injection molding machines. • Writes hopper labels describing the weight of the material and the weight of pigment contained in the material. • Operates the regrind machine to grind rejected products into raw material and operates the metal detector on the material to ensure it is clean and ready for reuse. • Reads production schedule to determine amounts of virgin and reground material that is needed to meet the production plan. • Performs minor maintenance on machines. Requirements Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Effectively communicate in both written and oral forms. Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Calculate amounts in percentages and fractions, including multiplication and division of fractions. Apply concepts of basic algebra. Basic knowledge of the metric system. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Operate CNC Lathe machines. 2. Perform assigned maintenance. 3. Preform other production tasks as needed. 4. Adhere to production schedules. 5. Keep manufacturing area clean and well organized. 6. Work overtime or on different shifts as requested to meet production demands. 7. Complete daily and weekly performance board and quality/productivity reports as needed. 8. Follow safety, quality, operating and other procedures. 9. Work with manufacturing lead, follow material point of use process and ensure there is material and tools available at all times. Qualifications: High School Diploma, equivalent, or passing company’s basic English/Math/Blue Print Reading Test; 2 year college or technical degree preferred. 1. Proficient in reading blue prints. 2. Proficient in using basic measuring tools (rulers, calipers, micrometers, etc.). 3. Proven working experience in operating CNC equipment in a production environment. 4. Basic English reading/writing and math skills to fulfill job requirements. 5. Ability to work with computers. 6. Ability to work positively in a team environment. 7. Good communications skills.
