Quality Documentation Technician (east palo alto)

We are a large family owned meat production and distributor facility in Clackamas, OR. We are currently looking for a talented Maintenance Mechanical Technician to join our day shift Maintenance team. Responsibilities would include performing maintenance on a variety of production machinery and facilities and electrical wiring and trouble shooting. Must have strong Mechanical and Electrical skills. This shift a 5 x 8 Monday-Friday days with one mid-week day off. Rotating Saturday or Sunday. Hours are 5:00a - 2:00p+. We are proud to be a second-chance employer. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $26.00+ per hour DOE to start. Actual scale is higher DOE. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): Install, assemble and test new and existing production machinery and equipment; understand and comply with workplace safety regulations. Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate. Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery. Usage a CMMS to schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment. Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner. Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions. Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery. Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery. Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and equipment manuals. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and maintain equipment and records. Familiarity with MS Office suite and applications, ability to utilize electronic communication effectively. Strong team/verbal/written skills are required. Demonstrated ability to be a Team Player. Able to work in a loud environment and cold environment. Must be available to work any shift and weekends. Education, Experience and Certifications: Familiarity with MS Office suite and applications, ability to utilize electronic communication effectively (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance, millwright, or other closely related experience Experience troubleshooting: PLC’s, controls instrumentation. Strong mechanical/welding fabrication and manufacturing experience. Able to lift 50 lbs. routinely / frequently and be able to sit, stand or climb or walk for 8 hrs. Ability to act competently in emergencies. Organized and detail oriented.

Monitor the operations of the machines and notify the supervisor if there are any problems. Visually inspect parts produced and determine if they meet quality standards. Complete documentation on defective parts. Essential Duties • Operator molding and other production machines in a safe and efficient manner, notifying the lead or supervisor if there are any problems. Some troubleshooting skills are required. • Visually inspect parts and determine if they meet the acceptable quality limits. Conduct quality checks using measuring equipment. • Package parts as specified to ensure proper and safe handling of the product. • Log all rejects on the Attribute Charts. • Review the operator inspection procedure before taking over any job. • Label all boxes after packaging to ensure proper handling of parts. • Ability to use basic measuring Equipment. • Degate and trim parts as required using secondary machinery to accomplish. • Ability to perform secondary operations such as gluing, welding, trimming, and some assembly. • Ability to use part count scale. Required Education and Experience • High school diploma or GED equivalent. • Knowledge of various measuring equipment. • 6 months of consistent and recent work history Required Skills • Strong written/verbal communication • Good decision-making skills • Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities. • Regular and predictable attendance. • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. • Basic math skills. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Ability to work overtime as needed. • Basic PC and internet skills.
