As a Mold Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality products by ensuring that molds are properly maintained, created, and operating efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Intermediate-level toolmaker responsible for creating new molds, as well as modifying and repairing current molds. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of molds to ensure optimal performance. Execute intermediate resin procedures, including sanding and drilling molds, as well as fabricating trim tools, templates, and jigs.  Ensure molds are cleaned and stored properly after use to prevent damage Operate machinery to test molds before sending to production. Work closely with Engineering and Quality staff to improve overall efficiency of tools. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2nd shift 12:30-9:00 pm Compensation is $24+/hr. depending on experience Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience working with molds in a manufacturing environment. Familiar with tooling equipment, materials, and processes used in a mold shop. Willingness to wear respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary. Proficient in use of measuring devices such as rulers, calculators and perform shop math Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to lift and move heavy molds (up to 75lbs) as required. Performing preventive repair and maintenance of plant and shop electronic and electrical systems, devices, equipment and components. Testing solid-state circuitry to find defective parts in digital and analog equipment and replacing defective parts. Apply electrical theory or related knowledge in testing and modifying operational or developmental electrical control circuitry of equipment within the facility. Utilizing specialized digital cameras and thermo-graphic imaging to perform infrared analysis and examination of facilities equipment. Designing and modifying motor power control equipment circuits, reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics. Planning and laying work orders or work from instructions, using sketches, blueprints, and drawings. Making sure the accurate and appropriate completion of all preventive electrical Technician duties. Modify electrical prototypes in order to correct operational deviations under the general direction of an Electrical Engineer. Willing and able to operate Powered Industrial Truck Equipment (scissor lifts, etc.). Implement the company’s safety procedures. Other duties as assigned. TOOLS: Provide own hand tools and measuring devices common to these job requirements. JACO Machine Works is an AS9100 certified machine shop supporting the medical, aerospace and semiconductor industries. We are in immediate need of a CNC lathe machinist for our growing operation. This position is for first shift with overtime available who can: • Perform setups and operation of 7-axis CNC lathes, screw machines, and Multi-axis turret machines. • Retrieve machine programs from database, create/read tool lists for job. • Accurately set tools and work offsets. Change tooling as needed to restore operation. • Ensure produced parts meet drawing specifications with standard inspection instruments. • Able to troubleshoot and perform basic edits of G-code to solve problems. • Read CMM reports and adjust machine offsets as needed. • Follow work instructions and communicate with Supervisor. • Train machine operators on any job that you set up. • Deburring of parts when needed. • Perform basic machine maintenance. • Keep work area clean and organized. Required Job Skills: • Must be organized and accurate with documentation. • Familiarity with Fanuc and Mitsubishi or similar controls. • Must have good knowledge of machine processes of manufacturing and problem-solving skills to ensure strict quality/dimensional and cosmetic standards. • Able to work with tight tolerances like +/-.0002” • Must have a strong work ethic and work well with others. • Must have good knowledge of G and M codes. • Must be knowledgeable of GD&T.
