Fabricate exactly to the design specifications report your times and job number accurately, fill out material sheets as accurately as possible and turn them in as soon as you are done with your scope of work • Be Clean. Outstanding medical device components manufacturer has immediate openings for Quality Inspectors to join their team! The Quality Inspector monitors the quality of incoming, in process, and outgoing products or materials for the Company. They are tasked with conducting tests, performing measurements, and auditing production processes. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Able to utilize microscope, digital calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, vision measurement system, and other related equipment with optimal accuracy Ability to read and follow blueprints Provides in-process inspection Maintain proper inspection and test records Assures that non-conforming material has been properly identified Advises the responsible production personnel of acceptability of products or materials based on results of testing and/or inspection Maintains lot traceability, log sheets, and good housekeeping practices at all times Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner Proficient with computer applications ex. ERP system, document control systems, nonconforming product systems. Able to work overtime (including weekends) when needed SCOPE The Quality Inspector reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and is responsible for the inspection of incoming materials, work in process and finished goods in the production of machined parts to ensure conformance as defined by QSR/GMP, ISO 9001:2015 standard, customer specifications, and Company requirements. QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent 2 years minimum manufacturing work experience with demonstrated ability in inspection Must be able to utilize all hand tools, micrometers, optical comparator, and other related equipment with optimal accuracy. PERSONAL SKILLS AND KEY COMPETENCIES Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Excellent communications skills, both oral and written Ability to motivate and work well with others Able to understand and follow directions Wear appropriate PPE on the Production Floor Participate in regular stretch breaks 1st shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm 2nd shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm (will train on 1st shift for approx 1 month), + 10% paid shift differential. What You'll Do: • Follow written procedures and perform all steps required to assemble Aperio Digital Pathology scanners and related products. • Tasks may include, but are not limited to: • Electro-mechanical assembly • Routing of cable and harness assemblies o Building of optical sub-assemblies • Visual and mechanical inspections of components and assemblies • Installing software • Performing basic troubleshooting • Identifying proper focus of optical assemblies viewing through eyepiece or on computer monitor • Completing related paperwork What You'll Bring: • High School diploma or equivalent or in lieu of High School diploma, willing to accept 2+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment • 1+ year’s Manufacturing experience working as either Technician and/or Assembler; able to put things together • Able to assembly or connect electromechanical equipment • Some assembly experience; example: fit circuit cards together, torquing screws, etc. • Must have basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel) • Must have a positive, “ can do attitude" Open to getting feedback from your manager and love to learn! • Requires a strong team player; enjoys speaking with others and has a positive attitude • Ability to learn and pick up things quickly • Bonus: Experience working with medical devices • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25 lb. and able to stand for long periods of time
