A successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in food safety with at least 2 in management. Experience working in a GFSI certified facility also strongly preferred. The Quality Assurance Manager will work with senior management to develop and implement food safety and quality policies, monitor and verify food safety and quality activities, and maintain our BRCGS program. This role involves weighing, milling, sieving, mixing, and processing powdered materials. You will be responsible for operating equipment, monitoring quality, and ensuring consistency, safety, and efficiency throughout the production process. Key Responsibilities: Powder Handling & Processing * Safely handle raw powdered materials * Operate machinery for weighing, blending, milling, sieving, granulating, or compacting powders. * Prepare materials according to batch sheets and product specifications * Monitor particle size distribution, flow properties, and consistency during processing.
 Equipment Operation & Maintenance * Set up, operate, and clean mixers, blenders, conveyors, mills, dust collectors, and packaging equipment. * Ensure machinery is running efficiently, perform routine equipment inspections and support preventative maintenance.
 Quality & Safety Control * Conduct in-process checks (e.g., weight, density, moisture, contamination). * Record test results and production data in compliance with SOPs. * Follow safety protocols for dust control, PPE use, and handling of sensitive materials. * Maintain hygiene standards appropriate for product end use.
 Documentation & Reporting * Maintain accurate logs of materials used, batch yields, and process deviations. * Communicate process improvements and material handling observations to supervisors.
