Requirements Receiving Shipments: Inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies and damages and verify contents against shipping documents. Record and report any issues promptly. Preparing Shipments: Package and label outgoing orders accurately, ensuring that all items are prepared according to customer specifications and company standards. Inventory Management: Maintain organized records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, track inventory levels, and assist in inventory audits as needed. Documentation: Complete necessary shipping and receiving paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory logs. Physical Handling: Load and unload delivery trucks and safely handle materials using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately verify and record shipment contents. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and customers regarding shipping and receiving processes. Physical Stamina: Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods. Technical Skills: Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems is often preferred. Basic computer skills are essential for maintaining records and generating shipping labels.
