As we grow, we’re strengthening our foundation with a new Sales Support Specialist who will serve as both support the existing sales expert, with hopes of growing into a sales superstar! About the Role This role is very supportive to our sales team. You'll be the tip of the spear for answering sales calls and what is often the start of our hopes for an amazing customer journey and having them be our customer for life! Your great listening and validation skills will help build trust for the customer, whom we unlikely ever meet face to face, but you will communicate with them via phone, email, Loom videos, and FaceTime, when necessary. Meeting the customer where they are at is essential and making each one a high priority, and having the mindset of making their day and creating a GREAT experience is what you will do. You will work closely with our VP of Sales who has amazing soft skills, technical aptitude, and sales experience of close to eight years now, with thousands of happy customers in over 30 countries. You’ll also collaborate cross-functionally with our marketing and operations team to co-develop educational content, resources, and process improvements. Whether you’re being onboarded by a teammate, talking to a first-time customer or working with a customer we have had for years, you’ll bring clarity, confidence, and add value to everything you do. We’re not just looking for someone who knows the sales side—we’re looking for someone who can support the department, communicate it, and elevate the entire team's capacity because of it. The right candidate who must be an all star, will eventually handle sales (warm or prospecting leads) and be a huge value to the sales department and be instrumental in the success of our team. What You’ll Do As the key person who will often be the first point of contact for customers, it is imperative that you have a GREAT mindset of serving the customer, who pays the bills, with an amazing experience by following a process, and entrusting that your actions and service will result in an amazing customer experience and, as a result, great sales. Support the VP of Sales, who has close to eight years of experience and has served thousands of residential and commercial customers worldwide. Support the lead generation process and qualify them for the sales department. Support ecommerce sales when necessary. Answer the sales phone, respond to emails, call back customers, and reach out to customers who we want to hear back from, etc. Put together simple 2D or 3D ceiling or floor plans that show our heaters and controls in a given space, i.e. a commercial yoga studio or a residential outdoor heating project. Collaborate with the customer support team when necessary. Serve as the liaison with manufacturers for product information (marketing, sales, and support). Understand and interpret drawings and make recommendations of what products and controls to use. Collaborate with our Ops Manager and Marketing Specialist to create and refine educational content (sales guides, diagrams, FAQs, etc). Maintain and expand our internal knowledge base and support documentation. Always be looking for ways to improve our internal team processes and customer facing processes. Show up daily with the mindset of helping others, having fun, and making a difference! Who You Are Technically proficient: You can interpret wiring diagrams and speak confidently with seasoned electricians. Lead the customer and meet them where they are at:: You bring steady energy when speaking to customers who may not know a lot about infrared heating so your job is to lead and guide them, or, they know exactly what they are looking for and you can also make suggestions along the way. Process-driven: You improve systems and enjoy the process of helping others!. A natural explainer: You simplify complex concepts and enjoy helping others understand. Positive mindset: You enjoy serving others while aligning your strengths and talents with ours. Goal driven: You set and CRUSH clear goals, and look for opportunities for others to do the same. Good energy and outlook in life: Your personal story adds value to the team and you strive for personal growth inside and outside of your work life. Requirements You are great at math that requires both spatial relations (e.g. calculating the area of a room) and have some knowledge about watts = amps x volts. We will train the right person. 2–4 years in technical sales or a related technical role. Experience communicating with customers, electricians, or contractors. Familiarity with construction plans Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills. High emotional intelligence and a grounded, collaborative communication style. Experience with Google Workspace, Help Scout (or similar ticketing system), Pipeline Deals CRM, and QuickBooks Desktop. You thrive when working independently or with a cohesive and collaborative team and are aligned with the department and overall goals of the company.
