Your responsibilities will include showcasing product features, floor plans, and designs to match each customer's specific needs. You will serve as a trusted advisor, collaborating with internal teams to ensure a seamless homebuilding process and customer satisfaction at every step. Key Responsibilities: Convert visiting customers to new home communities into future homeowners. Utilize various resources to generate sales, including marketing materials, model homes, and realtor relationships. Ability to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and customer service goals with minimal supervision. Stay informed about market trends and competitors to maintain M/I Homes' industry-leading position. Educate potential buyers on M/I Homes' offerings, community advantages, financing programs, and more. Act as the primary point of contact for homebuyers, providing support from initial meeting to home closing. Collaborate with internal teams and attend division meetings to ensure effective communication and a seamless homebuilding process. Maintain M/I Homes' brand image by monitoring community appearance and home maintenance. Requirements: 2-5+ years of established sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success both in sales volume and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, on-site position. Team members work 5 days a week, which includes weekends. Must be willing to obtain a Michigan real estate license or Michigan Builders Salesperson license within 2-3 months of employment. Ability to accomplish goals independently and within a collaborative team environment. Exhibits confidence, resiliency, and a drive to succeed while providing excellent customer service. Receptive to training, eager to learn, and committed to applying new knowledge and skills to excel in the New Home Consultant role. Strong communication, including active listening, observation, negotiation, selling, and organizational skills. Proficiency in computer skills and willingness to adapt to new technology. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent training in sales and marketing) is preferred. Compensation & Benefits: This opportunity begins with 8-16 weeks of training, where new team members are employed as “Sales Associates” and receive $20+/hour depending on experience. Sales Associates are promoted to “New Home Consultants” after completing training and hanging either an active real estate license OR a Michigan builders salespersons license. New Home Consultants receive a base salary + commission pay structure for the first 3 months active on the sales floor. After 3 months, the role switches to a commission pay structure + optional draw. New Home Consultants receive partial commission when a home contract is signed, and the remaining commission is paid when the home is closed. Annual earning potential is $100,000 - $150,000+ contingent on individual performance and hitting sales goals. This is a full-time, W2 opportunity.
