Adventures Northwest Magazine is seeking a motivated and results-driven Advertising Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting our advertising solutions to businesses, with a focus on both new client acquisition and account management. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills and a passion for helping clients achieve their marketing goals. We are passionate about producing a beautiful and thought-provoking magazine that both entertains and inspires our readership. We are also deeply connected to the local and regional arts & culture scene, featuring nature-inspired art and poetry in each issue. The magazine is distributed for free throughout Washington State with an emphasis on Whatcom & Skagit Counties, mailed to subscribers, and is also available online at www.AdventuresNW.com. Our website was named one of the Top Ten Adventure Websites in the World by Feedspot (ranked #6 in 2025) Responsibilities • Identify and develop new business opportunities through lead generation and cold calling efforts. • Manage existing accounts while building strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention. • Utilize CRM software to track sales activities and manage leads. • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients while ensuring alignment with company policies. • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly. This position requires the ability to: • Identify and engage potential advertisers through various channels, including cold calling, emailing, and networking. • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize revenue while building mutually beneficial, sustainable relationships. • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline management using relevant software tools. Applicants must have prior sales experience, enjoy working independently, love the outdoors, be self-motivated and organized, and have excellent verbal and written skills. Although this position affords the freedom to work from home, applicants must reside in Whatcom or Skagit County, WA. Applicants must be available during the six weeks leading up to each quarterly issue (Magazine Production dates are February 21, May 10, August 16, and November 8).
