My ex and I are going through a divorce, and we are heartbroken to be re-homing our beloved Lucy. Our lives are moving in different directions and we can't give her the care she needs and deserves. She brings love and joy everywhere she goes. Lucy will be 7 on December 1st. She is absolutely FULL of personality and is one of the most vocal dogs I've ever had. She loves people, and gets along with our two cats. She doesn't have much experience around children. She would thrive as the only dog in a household. My dream for her is a home with a yard. She knows a few commands (sit, stay, lay down) but on the whole she is a very stubborn, clever dog. If you've had a basset hound before, you get it! Walks with her are more like meanders with lots of breaks to smell the flowers. She is loving, snuggly, and playful. She can get anxious when it comes to change so I know there will be an adjustment period for her. She loves to be held like a literal baby which is no small task because she is HEFTY. She is spayed and vaccinated. We are asking a rehoming fee. She has been through multiple moves already and I want to make sure we are sending her to her forever home. She is truly such a unique and special dog.
