Key Responsibilities: Develop and design remedial strategies for soil, groundwater, and soil vapor contamination. Conduct site assessments, including soil and groundwater sampling and analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field  New York Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe. Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on remedial design for soil, groundwater, and soil vapor projects. Familiarity with remedial technologies such as: In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) Bioremediation Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) Air Sparging Permeable Reactive Barriers (PRBs) Multi-Phase Extraction (MPE) Phytoremediation Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards. As a Survey Crew Chief for LaBella, you will perform survey assignments related to topographic and boundary surveying, ALTA/ASCM land title surveys, construction staking, terrestrial LiDAR and UAV/drone, structure monitoring in support of land surveying, civil engineering, architectural and environmental projects. You will be working under the direction of Licensed Professional Surveyors. This is a professional path position that provides the opportunity to earn a Professional Surveying License. Requirements Minimum five years’ experience as a Survey Crew Chief with the ability to become a licensed Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) and obtain future licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS). Prior experience as a crew chief required. Demonstrates good verbal and written communications skills. Competent operating total stations, GPS and Data Collectors. Proficiency with the Trimble and Carlson family of surveying equipment is a plus. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Carlson and Inroads software is a plus. Ability to interpret design and construction plans. Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment and independently. Maintain a current driver’s license in good standing and able to operate company owned vehicles. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Ability to travel for up to a week at a time and work in all types of weather conditions. Physical Requirements: Drive a passenger vehicle. Wear personal protective safety gear most of the day. Work in cold or hot environments. Ability to physically carry 30 to 60 pounds of equipment multiple times a day, occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds. We currently seeking a Safety Specialist within our Building Engineering division for various construction and civil projects throughout New York State. Our LaBella safety team provides safety management services and training to clients for all industries and markets. This position would report to our Latham, NY safety manager. This safety position is highly dynamic and requires long term travel assignments. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with our client's management team, safety staff and labor to assure on-site safety compliance. The position will be located on one of our client's project sites and have the ability to guide, lead and provide corrective actions, as needed. This will be a part time role. The Mechanical Engineer will work with engineers as part of a project team to provide HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs, studies and technical support as required to fulfill project requirements.
