Data Engineering Manager

This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead and expand a high-performing data engineering team that powers a rapidly growing SaaS platform. You will oversee the development of unified data models, optimize system infrastructure, and enable AI-driven analytics for over 400 customers. The position combines technical leadership with strategic planning, team development, and cross-functional collaboration, directly impacting product performance, customer insights, and business decision-making. You will work remotely across multiple time zones, supporting teams in China, the Philippines, and the US. The role requires a hands-on leader who can mentor engineers, implement best practices in data governance, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions. Accountabilities Lead the data engineering team, managing and mentoring direct reports while supporting future team growth. Design and maintain unified data models across PSA platforms such as ConnectWise, AutoTask, and Halo. Build scalable data infrastructure to resolve sync issues and support rapid customer growth. Provide the foundation for AI-driven products, including AI Ticket Triage. Develop automated dashboards for client health, churn prediction, and executive KPIs. Partner with product, engineering, and customer success teams to align data strategies with business needs. Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards. Recruit, develop, and retain top data engineering talent while supporting career growth within the team. Requirements 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in team management or leadership. Proficiency with modern data technologies such as SQL, Python, Snowflake, and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau). Hands-on experience with predictive modeling, scalable pipeline architecture, and SaaS platforms. Strong understanding of data integration tools, RESTful APIs, and custom ETL processes. Experience establishing robust data governance, security, and compliance practices (e.g., SOC2, GDPR). Excellent English communication skills for cross-team collaboration and stakeholder management. Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Strong leadership, team-building, and mentorship capabilities.
